Susanna graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from George Washington University with a B.A. in English and Creative Writing. She earned a Master’s in Shakespearean Studies from King’s College London, garnering a distinction on her dissertation, and a Master’s in English Education from CUNY (Hunter), from which she graduated with high honors. As an English teacher and literacy coach, she’s taught students from kindergarten to 12th grade at public and private schools across the country. Most recently, she was the English Department Chair at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia, where she taught for several years and developed the department’s 5th-12th grade reading and writing programs.
