After graduating as the valedictorian at Stuyvesant High School, Amanda earned a B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Harvard University in History and Science, completing advanced coursework in biology, chemistry, human physiology, and medical genetics. Amanda has been widely recognized for her academic excellence, earning the John Harvard Scholarship, the Rona Jaffe/Radcliffe College Prize for Creative Writing, the Detur Prize, and the Fitzgerald Foundation Award for Outstanding Woman in her graduating class at Harvard. In addition to tutoring with Advantage Testing, she has worked as a research associate at Mount Sinai Medical Center and as a teaching fellow for general and organic chemistry at New York University. She has also written about science, medicine, and culture for The New York Times science section and The New Yorker.

Amanda is the Director of Advantage Testing’s MCAT program.
