Suzy graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in Art History and then went on to pursue her M.A. and Ph.D. in Classical Art and Archaeology from the University of Maryland. After college, she went to South Korea on a Fulbright Grant to teach English to middle school and high school students. During graduate school, she received numerous departmental and university-wide awards recognizing teaching excellence as well as fostering community among students and faculty alike. Suzy loves instilling a passion for learning in every student, and her contagious excitement is palpable whether she is describing a math problem, the etymology of a word, the structure of a cell, or her never-ending quest for the perfect slice of pizza.
