Steven earned a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and a B.A. in History from Yale University. While at Yale, Steven studied mechanisms of gene regulation in immune cells at the medical school, was principal tuba of the Yale Symphony Orchestra for four years, and published in the science and opinion sections of the Yale Daily News. Steven was also a Yale Communication and Consent Educator—a group of students employed by the Dean's Office to promote a safer campus culture and prevent sexual violence. Steven is from New York and was the President of the Scarsdale High School Academic and Music Honor Societies, ran varsity track and cross country, received the science department award for all-around excellence, and won a National Merit Scholarship. After working in labs at Rockefeller University and Yale, Steven's research has been published in PLoS One and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Steven has undying faith in the New York Mets. Steven is currently a Postgraduate Research Associate in the Yale Immunobiology department while applying to M.D./Ph.D. programs.
