Steven earned a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and a B.A. in History at Yale University. While an undergrad at Yale, Steven studied gene regulation in immune cells at the medical school and spent a year after graduation as a postgraduate research associate in immunology at Yale Medical School. Born and raised in New York, Steven attended Scarsdale High School, running track and cross country and receiving a National Merit Scholarship. Steven is currently completing an M.D./Ph.D. at Stony Brook University. His research for the genetics graduate program is at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and focuses on breast cancer. Steven never ceases to be amazed by the complexity and beauty of biology and cherishes learning, teaching, and exploring this together with his students.
