Marti graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Science and Disorders. She worked in pediatric home health care before obtaining her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University. While in graduate school, she acquired her teaching certification in Early Childhood–Sixth Grade, with additional training in Gifted and Talented instruction. Marti has eight years of teaching experience in independent/private schools in Houston. She has also completed multiple trainings through the Neuhaus Program and is currently a mentor at Neuhaus in their OCPODS Program and their Language Enrichment Program. Marti enjoys the challenge of working with all different age groups and enjoys watching children grow and become more successful both in and out of the classroom. Marti works as an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas in the Pragmatic Studies department and is also the Intervention Specialist at Holy Ghost Catholic School. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends, family, and her dog.
