Jill has a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of California Davis, a Master of Science in Biomedical Visualization (medical illustrating) from University of Chicago at Illinois, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology with a concentration in Psychosocial Aspects of Human Congenital Disorders from Stanford University. Her educational foundation has been an interweaving path of study in biology/biochemistry, laboratory medicine, psychology and behavior, genetics/genetic counseling, clinical veterinary medicine, veterinary acupuncture, art, and medical art. She is a lifelong learner and committed generalist, and her educational experiences have uniquely prepared her to have a sweeping view of medicine from the micro to the macro.
