Buck graduated with honors from Relay Graduate School, where he received an M.A. in Teaching Mathematics in grades 7–12. He also received a B.S. in Economics with a Math minor from the University of Houston. While at the University of Houston, Buck started coaching wrestling at St. John’s. It was there that he rediscovered his passion for teaching and guiding students to their best. Buck taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and several different remedial math courses while he was a teacher for KIPP Texas and HISD. While there, he also taught weekly ACT/SAT preparation lessons, targeting the areas that students found the most difficult.

Buck strongly believes that anything can be achieved with enough determination and perseverance. The brain is like a muscle: the more it works out, the stronger it gets. Thus, the more you practice certain skills, the better you become at them. He believes that making mistakes is the most important part of the learning process, so you might as well make them while practicing. The more you prepare for a certain test, the better you will perform on the real test. Buck is here to pair his knowledge of the material with his deep understanding of the underlying concepts.
