Alexandra earned her B.A. at Columbia University, where she studied English Literature. She was a John Jay scholar and wrote for the Columbia Daily Spectator. She then completed her M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction at the University of New Orleans, where she served as an associate nonfiction editor of Bayou Magazine. She is the recipient of the 2013 Samuel Mockbee award in nonfiction. In addition to her role at Advantage Testing, Alexandra teaches English at local colleges and fosters dogs.
