Alex is a Hematology/Oncology fellow at Mount Sinai. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and worked as a high school STEM teacher at a St. Louis charter school before pursuing medicine. He earned his M.D. from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he also completed his internal medicine residency.
At Mount Sinai, Alex served as a senior executive tutor, executive admissions committee member, and a provider at the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP) free clinic. He is an accomplished clinical researcher with a focus on cancer clinical trials, patient retention, and biomarker development. His work has been published in high-impact journals, including JAMA, and he has received multiple awards from the American Society of Hematology and the Tisch Cancer Institute.
