Starting April 16, 2018, the GMAT will be 30 minutes shorter

The Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning sections will be shortened:

  • The Quantitative Reasoning section will consist of 31 questions to be completed in 62 minutes (instead of 75 minutes for 37 questions).
  • The Verbal Reasoning section will consist of 36 questions to be completed in 65 minutes (instead of 75 minutes for 41 questions).

Additionally, the Tutorial and Section Instruction content will be reduced. The Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, optional breaks, and Score Preview time will remain unchanged.

These changes do not affect the average time per question or the scoring of the exam.
