Visala earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School, an MSt in Classics from Oxford University, and a B.A. magna cum laude in Classics from Princeton University.
Visala’s commitment to teaching has threaded through every stage of her career. At Harvard Law, she served as Lead Teaching Fellow for the Negotiation Workshop and as a Teaching Fellow for an Advanced Negotiation Seminar. She also earned a Certificate of Distinction from Harvard College for outstanding undergraduate teaching. She has also taught classical mythology, Latin literature, and Roman history—including as a Teaching Fellow at the Paideia Institute in Rome, where she led educational tours across Italy and Greece—and co-authored a chapter in Eureka, a textbook on Ancient Greek language, art, and civilization.
For the AT Foundation, she currently serves as a lead member of the admissions team at TRIALS, providing law school guidance to low-income students.
Visala brings unique interdisciplinary expertise combining classical education, legal training, and cultural heritage work. She has served as a Summer Associate at Cultural Heritage Partners, PLLC, focusing on Alternative Dispute Resolution strategies for tribal clients and litigation involving Indigenous American legal issues, and worked as a Legal Intern at the Center for Art Law, where she authored programs for the Visual Artists’ Immigration Clinic.
Visala is an Associate at Advantage Testing and the Advantage Testing Foundation in New York.
