Quinn graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.S. in Engineering Physics and took classes in STEM Education, building on the interest in teaching he developed as a high school peer tutor.
Quinn was an active member of the Cal Concrete Canoe team, a civil engineering competition team, which went to nationals both years he was on the team.
He also mentored students in his major as an officer for the Society of Engineering Sciences and managed the Student Technology Equity Program, which loans laptops and other technology to low-income students.
