Liu earned dual B.A. degrees, cum laude, in Environmental Science and East Asian Studies from Brown University.
A lifelong student-athlete, he competed as a Division I track athlete at Brown and now spends much of his free time coaching youth rock climbing teams. Liu is also often found hiking local trails, climbing outdoors, or foraging for wild mushrooms deep in the woods. He volunteers at the Golden Age Community Center, helping older adults navigate technology, and supports local food pantries in the Brookline area.
