Julien earned his B.A. in English and Economics from Brown University, where he explored the intersections of literature and economic theory to better understand how the world works. Growing up between London and New York, he developed a global perspective that continues to inform both his academic interests and his approach to teaching. Passionate about film and literature, he brings a unique lens to his work, often weaving narrative insight with analytical rigor.

A self-taught musician, Julien plays guitar, piano, and sings, finding in music the same balance of structure and expression that inspires his academic pursuits. He credits his transformative experience at Brown with sparking his commitment to education and is deeply driven to help students gain admission to their dream schools.

When he’s not teaching or exploring new ideas, you can find Julien discovering new films, delving into a novel, or creating music.
