Danielle graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in English from Rice University, where she received the Minter Outstanding English Major Award. She then earned her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Houston, where she received a Certificate of Teaching Excellence. Danielle is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Academy of American Poets.
Before working at Advantage Testing, Danielle acted as buyer at Houston's Brazos Bookstore and taught composition and creative writing workshops at both the University of Houston and Inprint! Houston. While Danielle’s background is in the humanities, she also enjoys teaching SAT and ACT math, especially to students who dread it as she once did. She loves tutoring because it allows her to help students and their parents feel less stressed and more empowered about the journey toward college. Danielle is also passionate about reading, writing, cooking, and her family.
