Dana received her B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Johns Hopkins University, where she served as a teacher's assistant for microeconomics and graduated magna cum laude. She then earned her M.A. in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where she also served as a TA for Theories of International Relations and graduated with high distinction. Dana is a native New Yorker who attended the Ethical Culture Fieldston School and previously worked as a buyer at Bloomingdale’s.
