Benjamin graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in European History. He spent the next four years teaching AP World History and AP European History at Success Academy High School of the Liberal Arts, where he worked with hundreds of high school students in advanced history courses. His students achieved exceptional results on the AP exams, outperforming the national cohort across every written component. Benjamin also oversaw the development and implementation of the school’s SAT program and served as the founding advisor of its Model UN team, building the program from the ground up alongside two student leaders.
Benjamin is passionate about helping students develop the research, writing, and analytical skills that form the foundation of success in history and the humanities. He particularly enjoys preparing students to approach complex material with confidence and to communicate their ideas with precision, skills that serve them well in college and beyond.
Outside the classroom, Benjamin is an avid crossword competitor and participates annually in the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament.
