Barbara is a cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with a B.A. in Intermediate Education and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Houston, with an M.A. in Math Education. She has been recognized for excellence throughout her career of more than three decades: she received the University of Houston Middle School Mathematics Program’s National Science Foundation Grant, and she has had her biography published in Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who Among American Teachers. Barbara works with each student using an easily accessible, interactive online platform or meets with them in person in the Sugar Land area.

She believes that the key to teaching is to teach students, not just subjects, and understands that every student is unique and requires personalized attention and guidance to succeed. She also believes that being a constant learner is essential to being a good teacher and is eager to learn something new each day, which energizes her to provide the best education for her students. Barbara tries to be a positive role model and instill good values and habits in her students.

When she is not tutoring, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her rescued cat and dog. She also enjoys music, concerts, theater, walking, swimming, and dining out.
