Austin graduated from New York University with a BFA in Film and Television Production. Born and raised in New Jersey, Austin attended Moorestown Friends School, where he was editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and won a National Achievement Scholarship.
After graduating from college, Austin worked at ABC News as a production assistant, where he helped produce segments for Diane Sawyer, Elizabeth Vargas, and Deborah Roberts. He then worked as a current programming assistant for ABC/Hulu, where he served on the “Greenlight Committee” to provide feedback for potential new shows. In 2022, he was selected for the prestigious Disney General Entertainment Writers Program. He was a writer for HBO’s I Love LA and Hulu’s How I Met Your Father, has had his writing published in the Huffington Post, and is currently developing multiple film and television projects. In 2026, he was named one of the “New Faces of Comedy” by Just for Laughs, the world’s largest international comedy festival.
In his free time, Austin enjoys writing, performing stand-up, and being a theme park enthusiast.
