Anna graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Biology, concentrating in biomedical science and minoring in chemistry. She is currently a health science educator at the Children’s Museum Houston, where she develops and leads hands-on science activities on topics like chemistry, biology, anatomy, and physics, making complex concepts accessible and engaging for children and families. At the Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium, she led field trips on ecology, geology, and microbiology for students.
In addition to her STEM background, Anna’s love of reading and strong communication skills make her equally comfortable tutoring the English and reading comprehension portions of standardized exams. She helps students develop strategies for understanding complex texts, identifying key ideas, and improving grammar and vocabulary. Anna brings strengths in lesson planning, communication, and team leadership.
Anna is certified in adult and pediatric first aid/CPR. In her free time, she enjoys reading, drawing, watercolors, and music.
