The updated 2020 Advanced Placement examinations will begin next week

May 8, 2020

Attention AP Students: The updated 2020 Advanced Placement examinations will begin next week! The AP tests will primarily be held from May 11th to May 22nd.

Good luck on your tests and keep in mind that this year’s examination process is a bit different than usual. First, due to the exams being administered online, all students worldwide will test at the same time. Make sure you know exactly when the exam starts in your time zone. You can use this link to find your testing time.

Second, exams will be 45 minutes in length and consist of free-response questions only. The College Board has also made it clear that the exams will cover about 75% of the usual course material (up to March).

Additionally, the College Board has made this year’s exams open book/open notes. You can take the exams on any device—computers, tablets, or smartphones. This also means you can either type and upload your responses or write responses by hand and submit a picture of your responses via cell phone.
