Joshua earned his B.A. in English with honors from Stanford University and his M.A. in Philosophy from The New School for Social Research. Over the course of his academic career, he won several awards for academic excellence, including the Mary Louise Rosenberg Thesis Prize for his undergraduate honors thesis and the 2021 Outstanding Master of Arts Graduate Award from the philosophy department at The New School. Before joining Advantage Testing, Joshua worked as an online tutor and taught undergraduate writing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has also worked as a science instructor and volunteered as an English language tutor for Spanish-speaking faculty at Stanford. Outside of teaching, Joshua loves to read novels, hike, play with dogs, and talk about digital media with his friends.
