Dan graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, earning a B.A. in History and receiving the Harvard College Scholarship for Academic Distinction. He was also awarded the David McCord Prize, the Quincy House Scroll, and three U.S. State Department Arts Envoy grants. In addition to tutoring with Advantage Testing, Dan is a faculty member at The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where he teaches courses in electronic music production with a heavy emphasis on the history of electronic music. Dan has performed, presented, and taught at universities, schools, and festivals worldwide, including Harvard University, the Universidad de Santiago (Chile), Sonar (Barcelona), the International Library and Museum of Music (Bologna, Italy), SXSW (Austin), the Strøm Festival (Copenhagen), Ableton (Berlin), the Universidad de Caldas (Colombia), IATEC (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), and the Centro Cultural Español (Mexico City). As a bass player, he has performed at Carnegie Hall, on Broadway, throughout North and South America and Europe, and in many venues in New York City. Dan is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and he can speak conversational Italian.
