Laurence received a B.A., magna cum laude, in Linguistics with Dramatic Arts from Harvard University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She then earned an M.S., with Distinction, in Computer Science from University of London, a DipTrans TST in Technical and Specialized Translation from University of Westminster, and a diploma in Dramatic Art from LAMDA. Laurence has been a successful audio artist: her work includes voicing Pearson’s Longman American Dictionary, many BBC radio dramas, and over 100 audiobooks. She has been selected for BAFTA Crew, a program for rising talent in TV, film, and games, and she is a Video Games Ambassador for games trade body UKIE, helping young people find opportunities in the games industry. In her spare time, Laurence works as Assistant Senior Editor and translator for Watching America, a current events website that culls, translates, and posts articles from around the globe containing opinion or analysis of America. Laurence also studies languages as much as possible, having worked with 20 to date, and she is particularly keen on grammar. She is based in London and has a daughter who is currently studying at Georgetown University.
