Joshua graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Government. He then earned his M.D., cum laude, from Yale School of Medicine. Joshua is a general surgery resident at New York Presbyterian-Columbia specializing in transplant surgery—he received a Transplant Surgery Fellowship at Georgetown. Josh has earned many accolades for academic and medical achievement, including First Prize in the Annual Columbia Surgery Research Competition, the John Jones Fellowship awarded annually to the best Columbia General Surgery Resident research grant submission, the Blakemore Award for best research by a surgical resident at New York Presbyterian-Columbia, the Connecticut Chapter of American College of Surgeons Prize awarded to graduating students for excellence in surgical sciences, and the Association for Academic Surgery-Novartis Research Award to the senior medical student entering a surgical field who has done outstanding research during medical school. At Advantage Testing, Joshua’s area of tutoring expertise is in preparing students for medical school tests as well as for all USMLE Steps. Outside of medicine and tutoring, Joshua also has extensive political experience.
