Elizabeth graduated from Texas Woman's University's honor's college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and a focus in occupational therapy. She earned her Master of Education summa cum laude from Lamar University. She served in the United States Peace Corps, where she taught English and worked as a teaching mentor for two years at a boarding school for children with special needs in North Macedonia. Upon returning home, she obtained teaching certification in Early Childhood–Sixth Grade, English as a Second Language, and Special Education Early Childhood-Twelfth Grade. She has 10 years of teaching experience, primarily working with students with exceptional learning needs. Her personal philosophy is that every student deserves to be treated as an individual and should receive personalized, creative, and innovative learning opportunities. She targets specific skill acquisition to cultivate each student's unique strengths and to address identified challenges with a data-driven approach. Her goal is to help students find the spark that turns learning into a joyful experience. She enjoys singing, baking, and exploring nature parks with her two boys.
