Elena earned a B.A. in British Literature and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Florida. Originally born in Bulgaria, Elena is fluent in French and Bulgarian. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, which is the oldest academic honor society in America in the liberal arts and sciences. She also loves Russian and Swedish literature, film, and modernist poetry. Elena also works at an engineering company, which maintains, designs, and hardens some of FPL’s electrical grid systems in South Florida.
