Cameron graduated with an M.F.A. in Writing for Screen & Television from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, where he was the recipient of a Frank Volpe Endowed Scholarship. He is a cum laude graduate with distinction from Colorado College with a degree in Neuroscience. He is published as first author in the Journal of Comparative Neurology for his article “Neocortical neuronal morphology in the Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) and the clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa).” He has presented research at the annual Society for Neuroscience conference and was a finalist for the collegiate Pacemaker Award for his work as editor-in-chief of Cipher Magazine. As a television writer, he has thrice been nominated for a WGA Award for his work on Showtime’s Yellowjackets. He is an avid reader (never without book recommendations), plays tennis weekly, often feels his brain is harshly bifurcated between a love of sciences and a love of the arts, and is currently at work on a novel.
