Andy earned a B.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in South Asian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Benjamin Franklin scholar, a University Fellow, Phi Beta Kappa, and a magna cum laude graduate. He spent a year as a professional tennis player, then earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and worked on Wall Street as a currency and commodities trader. Andy wrote The Money Bazaar about the markets, published regular articles for Forbes magazine, and he was elected to the Trader Hall of Fame in 2005. He has lived in Dubai and Madrid and works with the following languages: Bengali, Spanish, German, French, Hebrew, Arabic, and Sanskrit.
